The history of pizza in Italy can be traced back over 2000 years to when the Roman Empire was at is zenith. Pizanos promises to provide the "real" Italian stone baked pizza experience.
Now just a note on pizza. The pizza that the world knows and loves came into its current form in New York and has continued to evolve to match the tastes and sensibilities of both fashion and place.
Traditional Italian pizza is made with thin crust and topped with fairly basic ingredients. My view is that the result is unexciting compared with many of the pizzas that I have eaten around the world. One of the worst pizza that they have at Pizanos is their chocolate pizza which is just the thin crust with chocolate coated on top. I am not sure if this is an Italian thing or just a Pizanos thing.
I am glad that I went here and have a good idea now what "real" Italian pizza tastes likes. The pizzas aren't bad and the service is okay for a small place. However it is unlikely that I will return. Something for traditional Italian pizza lovers only.
