Get away from the tourists for a Pitch perfect experience
If you are looking for a great restaurant, away from the typical touristy areas of Scottsdale and yet not that far of a drive, head to Pitch on Thomas Road. The indoor area has a warehouse look and a modern feel. During the cooler months, large windows open to connect an indoor and outdoor bar. The large patio is well off the road and landscaped to make you feel cozy. On a recent evening, it was quite pleasant sitting outdoors even though it was August.

They offer a wide array of food for breakfast, lunch or dinner. There are eighteen appetizers to choose from including charcuterie, tempura asparagus, ribs, and crabs cakes. You have the option of fourteen different salads. I ordered the Roasted Beets salad, which was topped with a baked goat cheese filo and roasted butternut squash. It was almost too pretty to eat. I had stopped in for a late dinner and the salad was so filling, I saved half of it for lunch the next day.

You also have the choice of fifteen types of pizzas from a simple margherita to all sorts of combinations. There is an option of a gluten-free crust also. Along with a few burgers and pasta dishes, there are several main event dishes. There are plenty of great choices for vegetarian, meat and seafood tastes. At most restaurants, I tend to have a go-to order but at Pitch I order something different each time. There are so many great options I have a hard time deciding.

Pitch also has an extensive drink menu. There are several types of mules and margaritas as well as many other cocktails. For the number of beers on the menu, I was disappointed in the dark beer options. They only offered a vanilla porter and Guinness and they were out of the porter. If you are not into dark beer, though you will have plenty of great options. They also offer several wines with 50% off on Sundays and during happy hours. From two to six on weekdays, the happy hour has many good discounts on food and drinks.

The restaurant also offers a party room and the patio is dog friendly. If you want to dine on a beautiful patio or watch the game in a spacious indoor restaurant, head over to Pitch and enjoy a fabulous meal.
