Prepare to be pitch slapped
Seriously, if 'Glee' and 'Bring It On' had a lovechild - it would be Pitch Perfect.
A comedy film that follows an all female college acapella group (which for those of you who don't know is a group who use their voices-rather than instruments-to create music). The group colossally messed up their performance in the finals the previous year and are after some fresh new talent to join their group.
Enter Beca (Anna Kendrick) who reluctantly agrees to join after her father pressures her into it. Beca wants to DJ and loves music and isn't quite sure about this new venture. Will the girls get along and make it to the finals? I guess you will just have to go and see it for yourself.
As for the reviewing part of this article; Pitch Perfect is fun. It is an enjoyable film with some genuinely funny moments. Rebel Wilson is fantastic in that dry, self-deprecating kind of way that we are getting used to. She is getting some great roles in some big American films, so good on her. All of the one liners have been saved for her character and she delivers them with ease.
The other girls are great too, and it is wonderful to see Anna Kendrick and Brittany Snow singing. They are funny and gorgeous and are good actors AND on top of all of that talent they can sing! The music throughout is a mix of the 90s, 00s and now and will have you tapping your feet. You may even find yourself trying desperately to stifle your own singing! It really is good fun and was a few hours well spent. I absolutely recommend it to anyone who wants to go and have a laugh.
