When thinking about keeping the kids entertained these school holidays don't forget about Kryal Castle's Pirates and Mermaids experience in Ballarat - just an hour out of Melbourne. Fulfilling childhood make-believe fantasies is what this experience is all about. There are interactive performances, swashbuckling training and a costume parade where if your kids come in costume they can take part.

There's a pirate ship to explore and with your kids dressed up as pirates or mermaids, they'll be some memorable photo opportunities to treasure.



Listening to the tale of The Quest for Captain Red Beard's Treasure is a must, as young pirates and mermaids can use a real treasure map to lead them to some golden loot! There are furry friends to meet at the animal pens, medieval wares to look at, and of course mermaid and pirate-inspired food and drink.



The castle's knights will perform a mounted skill at arms in the main arena, and medieval trebuchets will be in full swing. This included show is always a lot of fun.
