We are lucky to have heaps of great parks in and near Brisbane. Bright colourful playground equipment is a feature of many of these parks, and that is certainly one of the attractions of . But, this park has a feature which makes it really special . . . , unique even!

The gnarled Cottonwood tree forest. These mature trees, apart from providing a beaut shaded area, have trunks growing in all directions. They are great for the kids, and the not so young kids to climb.

These trees and the regular playground equipment are all enclosed in a safe fenced area. The playground equipment of course includes a Pirate Ship.

has all the amenities you need for an enjoyable day's outing. These include: toilets, picnic tables, electric barbecues, water fountains, bins and parking facilities off street and on street.

Adjacent to the park is a sandy beach and safe still water for the kids.

If you don't want to go to the trouble of barbecuing, across the road are restaurants and take-a-way shops.

Landsborough Drive at Scarborough is the location. This is one venue that is worth putting on your "must do one day" list.
