If the very thought of hosting Christmas dinner (or any dinner party for that matter) makes you a little anxious, do yourself a favour and book into the Piper St Cooking School.

Located in Kyneton within the already popular Piper St Food Co on the main strip of Kyneton, these courses cover everything from basic cooking classes like creating the perfect picnic to pasta making to full day charcuterie classes- even a masterclass on breaking down a full pig just like the butcher!



Class sizes are small so you're certain to be able to see what's happening and answer questions.

My session was the Cooking Basics: Eggs course which, in just two hours had me preparing mayonnaise from scratch, learn how to create the perfect poached egg anytime, make a hollandaise sauce and so much more.



Instructor Damian Sandercock's love of fresh local produce certainly shines through and if you're already prone to fantasies of fine food, you're certain to leave inspired knowing how to make great custard and armed with Damian's recipe for sauce gribiche.

The best bit? Everything you make (minus what you eat) you can take home to show off your new skills.



Leading up to the holiday season, the cooking school has a huge variety of courses available. Everything from plating up a Christmas Feast to cooking the perfect ham and more. Classes and time tables are all available on the site. And if the class times don't suit you, don't fret, private lessons can be arranged as well for groups of up to 12, so grab your friends.
