Come for the beer, the burgers or to hear about bacteria
Join in the Fun Things to Do at Pint of Science Adelaide
Pint of Science is an annual festival that brings science to the people all around the world. Many of us feel intimidated in an academic environment, or at a structured lecture where lots of scientific terminology is used. Pint of Science aims to reach the average person by bringing talk of science to a pub.
The three day Adelaide Pint of Science event is being held at the Wheatsheaf Hotel in Thebarton. The Wheatsheaf is a popular and well known live music venue in Adelaide, so it's sure to be seen as welcoming by many of us. Your ticket price to each Pint of Science event includes a beer, wine or soft drink on arrival, so discussion at these sessions may get spirited.
There's a different science topic for each day of the three day festival, with a great variety of topical subjects to hear about. Join in the group discussion afterwards, and you can take part in the trivia and team competitions each night. With a modest admission charge of $5, this is a fantastic way to be entertained for an evening while learning something new.
