There is no better cure than a few hours of fun painting with friends in a real art studio. Our subject was Frida Kahlo and by the end of the session we had created the 'Many faces of Frida' and admired each other's interpretation of the original artwork.
Owned and managed by Rebecca, there is a workshop at Pinot & Picasso Bendigo to suit everyone from the social beginner to the more detailed sessions for the budding painter. All you need to do is Bring-Your-Own favourite beverage and nibbles or order a grazing board with your ticket.
You can also sign up to receive points each time you book a session and receive discounts on your future sessions.
It's a great vibe for a hens, or bucks afternoon, a mother and daughter date, or just to catch up for a group of friends and spend a few hours painting, sipping, nibbling and chatting. In the lead up to Christmas, there are lots of festive artworks to paint, so make sure you book now to avoid the Fear-Of-Missing-Out (FOMO).
Each session is lead by an artist and is structured so that you can follow along and build your painting step-by-step. The artist gives tips on mixing paints to create different colours and you are provided with your own canvas, easel, apron, paint palette, a paint mixing plate, mason jar and brushes.
The studio is equipped with glassware, a place for your personal items, a fridge so you can keep your drinks or nibbles cool and a bathroom.
You can also book the whole studio for your own private party with plenty of opportunities for selfies with your finished artwork and your friends.
Here are a few special sessions coming up at Pinot & Picasso Bendigo:
