Wine Tasting Events and Top Australian Wines are hosting a special event this November which showcases one of the world's most preferred wines - Pinots at Platform 270 Restaurant @ Double Tree.
This one-off fine-dining event will expertly pair 5 New Zealand boutique pinot noir wines selected by Top Australian Wines with Platform 270's exceptional cuisine.
The four-course lunch will be held on Saturday 28th of November, 2015 from 2pm to 4pm.
To commence the feast an Entree will be served, consisting of Duck Liver and Onion Charcoal Cones and Pinot Noir Pickled Eggs on Pumpernickle Salt Baked Beetroot and Goats Curd, matched with 2013 Pear Tree Pinot Noir (Marlborough, NZ).
A Share Entree of Smoked Kangaroo, Liquorice & Chocolate Slow Cooked and Shredded Duck, Braised Cabbage Heirloom Carrots, cranberries, walnuts will be matched with 2014 HaHa Pinot Noir (Marlborough, NZ)
The Main is a Plumb and Cinnamon Braised Osso Bucco with celeriac cream, shaved radish and fennel, matched with 2012 Invivo Pinot Noir (Central Otago, NZ) and 2011 Brodie Estate Pinot Noir (Martinborough, NZ).
Concluding the lunch is a Shared Dessert of Dark Chocolate Mousse, Espresso Jelly, Violet Granita and Tonka Bean Cream, matched with 2011 Misha's Impromptu Pinot Noir (Central Otago, NZ).
