Generous and extravagant
The elegant and luxurious Lobby Lounge at Crown Metropol has gone pink, with a feminine and floral theme, making it the perfect setting for their extravagant Pink Gin High Tea. These decadent afternoon teas are available daily from 12 noon to 5pm until 2 February.
The menu humbly describes the sweet items on the tiered tray as Strawberry and vanilla cheesecake, Rhubarb sphere filled with caramelised white chocolate and Dark chocolate mousse layered with raspberry ganache topped with a mini macaron but there is nothing humble about these detailed and exquisite delicacies. There are so many intricate layers and exquisite elements incorporated into each delicious item, they can't all be detailed on the menu.
After feedback was received from guests the delicacies predominantly focus on savoury items with a generous eight savoury morsels. Three different sandwiches are accompanied by a Goat's curd tart, Leek & capsicum quiche and Gruyere & corn croquette. Again, each item is complex with exquisite details and elements.
3 High Tea options are available starting at $40 per person for the sweet & savoury platter and a cup of tea or coffee, $45 includes a glass of Chandon Brut NV but the most luxurious option for $49 offers a delicious Pink Gin Spring Fling cocktail. This divine cocktail has a combination of Gordon's Pink Gin, Bacardi, blood orange liqueur, pineapple & lime juice, raspberry syrup, egg white, cranberry & rhubarb bitters topped with Jansz Rose.
These High Tea experiences have been tremendously popular so prior reservations are required. Bookings can be made Monday to Friday during business hours, with two business days notice on 1800 556 688
Until 31st October Crown is donating $11 with every Pink Gin High Tea to Breast Cancer Care WA.
