Just Keep Swimming
If you are looking for a good old fashioned outdoor swimming pool to take your kids to - this place is for you.

The pool features a 50 metre six lane swimming pool which is slightly heated, a toddler pool with sun shade, a big water slide, barbecue facilities, a playground, basketball courts, a small canteen and ample parking.

The first time we visited this pool was at the end of 2015 on Christmas Eve as it was a scorcher of a day. My nieces, who at the time who were 6 and 8, had a really great time racing each other in the swimming lane pool, and also enjoyed playing with their body boards in the shallow pool. The water slide was a big hit too. We were lucky it was not that busy when we went because the girls got to go on the slide at least ten times each.

One of the best parts about visiting the pools is the fact there is plenty of free parking, even in side streets close by. It is located in a quiet part of Frankston North on Forest Drive and is only a short distance away from Skye, Carrum Downs, Seaford, Cranbourne and Frankston.

Pines will happily host your school's swimming carnival in the summer and end of year schooling activities too. Keep an eye on their Facebook page to see when they are hosting their next family fun day.

The cost to get into the pool is very cheap, only $4 each for my nieces to have a swim and we were allowed to stay however long we liked. The lifeguards and staff are great and were quick to stop any patrons who were misbehaving.

Each summer we plan on visiting the pool because the kids really like being outdoors and think that the indoor pools can be quite crowded at times.

The Pines pool is only open during the summer months and will be reopening later this year on the 1st of November, we are very much looking forward to returning.
