When a friend told us about a new vintage store that opened up on Rosetta Street, West Croydon, we knew we had to check it out. We had an 80's themed birthday coming up, and we were on a mission to find a few quirky pieces to add to our collections. So we popped in recently, said hi to the lovely owners, and checked out what just we could get our hands on.

Taking a good rummage through the shelves we discovered an amazing collection of ladies and mens vintage pieces including t-shirts, jumpers, jeans, shoes and accessories. Heading into the back room we found pure gold in the form of the most incredible 80's happy pants we'd ever seen. They practically glowed in the dark! We snapped them up quickly (no way were they going back on the hanger) while our friend walked away with a flattering olive jumpsuit.

On the way out we chatted with the lovely owners Sam and Lauren, who as it turns out are not just vintage addicts but veterans of the Gilles Street Markets. They scored the coveted shopfront in May 2016, managing to seal the deal after popping a note in the owner's letterbox, and have been thanking their lucky stars ever since.

Their cute boxy frontage once held a dilapidated floor renovation business, but you wouldn't know it now. Lauren and Sam have transformed it into a funky vintage retail space all of their own.

The whole collection has been painstakingly collected from local and international sources, garage sales and op-shops, and a few have even come from their own personal wardrobes.

The vibe is happy and welcoming, and all their vintage pieces are decked out on handmade shelves and clothing racks made from recycled components like gates and ladders. We especially loved the quirky pineapple-themed décor scattered throughout, including Percy, the original pineapple given to them by a friend. Not to mention the pineapple lollies on the counter.

Speaking of, the vintage sales counter is stunning. Its striking hand-painted wooden doors contrast wonderfully with the polished green terrazzo floors and woven rugs in the front room. We couldn't believe it when they told us it was salvaged from a garage sale for an incredible bargain. Now if only they'd list it for sale…

In the back room is a playfully hand-painted mural by local Adelaide artist Kaspar Schmidt Mumm, plus two cane chairs perfect for a quick sit while waiting for a friend in the change room.

Sam and Lauren say they welcome all eras at , but there's definitely an 80's streak to the collection, since that's where Lauren's passion lies. But as they told us, the multicoloured happy pants, suave jumpsuits and tasselled leather jackets don't spend long on the shelves, so if you want to get your hands on them, you'd better get in quick.

Of course, there's everything and more in-between, so don't forget to pop in and say hi. You never know what you'll find at .

P.S. lists their amazing pieces on Facebook and Instagram - keep an eye on them if you don't want to miss out!
