Surprisingly phenomenal vegetarian food even for meat lovers
After a coastal stroll along Cronulla Beach and The Esplanade, we chose to eat brunch at Pilgrims, a notable "Hole in the Wall" establishment. The vegetarian restaurant is located only a short stroll from Cronulla station.

Upon seeing the good reviews of this establishment, we were eager to try something different though we were not expecting anything particularly delicious because of our usual love of meat-filled dishes. However, we were very pleasantly surprised by the variety of entrees and mains.

The interior decor was very casual, clean and inviting.

It also has a spectacular view of the street and the coast.

We ordered a wholemeal burger with sprouts, beetroot and a curry lentil pattie. The burger was quite tasty as it was well complemented with tahini dressing and sweet sauce.

We also ordered corn fritters loaded with tousled rocket leaves, grilled tomatoes and crushed avocado. It was one of my favourite dishes as it was generously filled with corn and had an appropriate level of crunchiness.

The last dish we had was sourdough bread, with fried egg, avocado, grilled haloumi and tomato. The fried egg was a little overcooked but the remaining textures were very delicately done and were delectable.

I was very pleased by the food servings and also the customer service from the waiters. It was overall a very insightful and wonderfully tasty experience which opened my eyes to the vegetarian style of cooking.

I would definitely return to this lovely establishment when I am again in Cronulla.
