If you have you always wanted to try Pilates and never had the chance, these are the classes for you! Pilates is a series of exercises which are intended to strengthen the mind and body. It is believed that, if practiced with consistency, pilates improves flexibility, builds strength and develops control and endurance. Pilates emphasises alignment of the body, breathing, developing a strong and stable core and improving balance and coordination.

As an initiative of the City of Unley's Living Active Program, Physio Pilates Proactive is offering free Pilates Mat Classes one Friday a month through until June. Classes are available at the Physio Pilates Proactive's Parkside Studio, 86 Glen Osmond Road Parkside from 11.45 am to 12.30 pm on Friday 26 February, 1 April, 29 April, 27 May and 24 June 2016.

Classes will be run by Rachel Combe, Physiotherapist and Pilates teacher, who is regarded as one of Adelaide's most qualified and respected Pilates instructors. Rachel has been teaching Pilates in Adelaide since 2002. Rachel advocates practising Pilates to achieve the enhancement of your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. I have myself participated in pilates classes and found that I was my strongest and healthiest during that time.
