The Pike and Joyce Winery has just opened in the Adelaide Hills and is the perfect place to enjoy an afternoon drink, or three, while looking upon spectacular views. On a misty autumn day the reds, oranges and yellows are particularly highlighted against a cloudy grey background. It can get cold and wet in the Adelaide Hills. However stepping inside the warm and welcoming Pike and Joyce winery to indulge in a beverage is a sure way to help take away the chill in the air.
A small car park runs next to the centre and while there is nothing particularly eye catching about the winery it looks neat and well put together. Once inside you are greeted by breathtaking views out of the floor to ceiling windows. On a misty grey day the view did not stretch far but with the vines leaves' turning yellow it is still a beautiful view. There are photos of what the view would be like on a summer's day and eating lunch while admiring leafy green vines and rolling hills would be truly fantastic.

You can choose whether to simply sample the wines or to treat yourself to lunch. A menu provides a variety of options, including vegetarian, and the selection changes frequently. There is also dessert on offer and amazing cheese platters that I highly recommend. A bonus to Pike and Joyce Winery is that a choice of local beer is offered on the menu for individuals who are not a fan of wine. Pike and Joyce Winery has a range of premium Adelaide Hills Wine, varieties include pinot noir and chardonnay.
