The Piggy Back Café, another brain child of the Venzin Group, opened their doors a few days ago in suburban Jindalee. For weeks now, whispers of their new café has been staring on my Instagram news feed. Their food photography game so on point that it had my stomach rumbling in anticipation.
Before I arrived yesterday, truth be told I drove past it twice. I think it's safe to say they were still in the setting up stage. Monday 21st is their official opening day and from what I could see this little café is going to be local favourite.
Blue walls, predominately white furniture and large arched windows set the tone for a bright welcoming place to start your morning.
There is not a huge amount of food choices in the area, so I believe the menu will receive a warm welcome. There is truly something for everyone. Delicious looking Vegan donuts were on display on the front counter, along with a variety of other appetising slices and sweets.

Yougurt and Coconut Crumble
Raw, Gluten Free, Vegan; if any of these words frighten you, fear not they also have a to die for breakfast burger.
I have had the Breakfast Burgers before, but this guy was huge…and by guy I obviously mean the burger. I am talking about streaky bacon, fried egg, cheddar, spinach, avocado and smokey mayo on a toasted brioche bun in all its yummy goodness.

Breakfast Burger $15
Sonia ordered the Lemon Ricotta Hotcakes, but unfortunately they were sold out, so she gave the Mushroom and Haloumi a go. She wasn't a fan of the salsa verde and I second that it was a bit bland but over all it's a good dish. The sautéed button mushrooms, haloumi and poached eggs combo is always good.

Mushrooms and Haloumi $16
Other breakfast offering were Smoaked Salmon for $16, BBQ Pulled Pork Hashcakes for $18, Bircher $12, and of course, the usual Toast, Banana Bread, Bacon and Eggs.
There is a long list of cold and hot beverages available. The Fonzie Abbott coffee went down quite smoothly.
The Piggy Back Café also has a Lunch menu consisting of Watermelon Tabouleh, Pork & Slaw, and Korean Fried Chicken to name a few.
Bon Appetit Jindalee, you are going to love this place!
