There are many weird and wonderful races involving animals which are bet on all around Australia (I once witnessed a cockroach race!) However, pig racing is one I have not heard of before though I do believe that there are several of these events held throughout the year.

This form of racing has been going for about ten years now as Noah's Thoroughbred Racing Pigs have been entertaining Australians in several states.



Now is an opportunity to see these cute and often not so cute animals try and do their owners proud! This will be a fun event and something just that little bit different. If you have never been to the pig races, then mark this date in your diary and get ready to cheer on your pig.

Noah's Thoroughbred Racing Pigs is entertainment which is often extremely funny - watching the antics of these animals.

Pig Racing Day is coming to Bulimba Golf Club on Sunday 24th March 2019, from 2.00 pm to 7.00 pm. The Bulimba Golf Course is located at 105 Quay Street, Bulimba.



As well as the races, there will be a whole afternoon of entertainment for all the family and also for groups of friends. On the day there will be the following:


There will be bugle race calls, entertainment and many activities right through the obstacles to the last little pig snout in the finishing trough! Of course, that is why these pigs are running - to get to the trough, where they can eat away to their heart's content after a competitive race!

You will be cheering on your piglet right to the very end of the race in the hope that he/she will win the race. Kevin Kiley, otherwise known as the Pig Whisperer and chief race caller will be calling the race so that you do not miss even a minute of this exciting event!

Often, it is not always the fastest pig that wins the race, but the smartest. When some piggies hear that bugle call, they perk up and run to the starting box (if you are lucky!).
