Non-pretentious atmosphere and good quality food and drink
We all know the old Pig 'N Whistle chain of bars across Brisbane for their sports TV screens, British styling and atmosphere. This new take on this classic pub has had a stylish makeover with an indoor and two outdoor seating areas and modern, rustic furniture and fittings.

Local craft beer and British ales are in the taps and they also sport a great selection of bottled brews which has allowed them to take part in Brewsvegas, Brisbane's unique beer festival which spans across the city. We ordered a Fuller's London Pride and a Jacqueline's Ridge Sauvignon Blanc (which also came on tap) and sat out in the upstairs outdoor dining area.

I usually wouldn't review such a large chain of restaurants but I really felt that P&W had achieved something with this pub which was unique and special that set it aside from the rest of the restaurants in their business. The casual but well appointed space fits in well with the style of the valley area and it felt like a really warm and friendly atmosphere where you would be happy to while away an afternoon or party into the night.

We loved the look of the bar menu here and were unfortunately too full from our lunch to indulge. However, next time we go back, I will definitely be ordering the Pinchos Morunos which were Moorish style pork skewers with yoghurt and lemon, Mushroom Arancini or the Pulled Pork Roll. There's also a great selection of gourmet pizzas on this menu including one which really took my fancy, Alla Zucha, Roasted pumpkin, goat's cheese, spinach, mozzarella, pine nuts and red onion. There is also an extensive breakfast, lunch and dinner menu to choose from.

The staff here were knowledgable about their beer and wine menu and were also very attentive. The manager chatted to us for a while about their Brewsvegas selections. We were so happy with our experience that we'll be telling all our friends about this gem in the middle of the Valley.
