Seeking Refuge from Afghanistan to Australia
Harmony Day will see the hosting of an event featuring those who have sought refuge in Australia from Afghanistan. It will be held fittingly at the Migration Museum, 82 Kintore Avenue, Adelaide. The event is held on Saturday, 21st of March, commencing at 6pm, with speeches at 6.30pm.

Sarah Hanson Young Australian Greens Senator for South Australia and Hossein Valamanesh, contemporary artist will speak at the gathering. It will also be Nowruz, the Afghan New Year. Giving the celebration a chance to feature some wonderful afghan food and live music.

Pictures in my Heart is described as telling the 'other' story about refugees. Containing artworks, photographs and stories of the refugees from war torn Afghanistan to rural South Australia. The book is written by Fiona Hamilton and published by great South Australian publishers Wakefield Press.
