No visit to Toowoomba is complete without a visit to Picnic Point. In the suburb of Rangeville, only a short drive from the CBD. It is Heritage-Listed and provides many choices of activity. The manicured lawns and grounds make for a very pleasant environment for picnics. Lay a rug or use one of the many picnic tables dotted around the park. The park is full of many magnificent trees for you to marvel at and sit under to get shade.

The views out over Table Top Mountain and the Lockyer Valley are breathtaking and a favourite spot for photographers and for those who love drones. On your way into the park, stop to look at the waterfall surrounded by lush foliage. For the adventurous, there are walking trails along the escarpment. All you need to know about these is on the information board at the beginning of the walks.

In the middle of the park is a magnificent flag pole, erected in late 2008. At 150 feet high (46 mt) it commemorates Queensland's 150th anniversary.

If your visit is to include a meal, snacks or just a coffee there is a lovely restaurant there with both indoor and outdoor service. And who can resist a treat from the ice cream bar?

Toowoomba is well known for its flower festival, so if you are visiting at that time you will be able to view stunning garden displays around the park. Of course like all good parks, there is plenty of playground area for the children.

There are no entry fees, plenty of parking and easy access for wheelchairs.
