For those looking for a good opportunity to pick their own apples, four orchards in the Adelaide Hills will be taking part in the Pick a Pink Lady Weekend event from Saturday 14 May 2022 to Sunday 15 May 2022. Also known as Cripps Pink, the Pink Lady Apple is a variety of apple created by crossing the Australian Lady William Apple with Golden Delicious.



During the event, the four family run orchards will allow visitors to pick their own apples as well as offering an opportunity to learn about apple production directly from the grower. The orchards participating in the event are:

Ceravolo Growing, 151 Mappinga Road, Oakbank, SA

Collins Hills Organics, 114B Collins Hills Road, Lenswood, SA

@Lenswood Pick Your Own, 122 Harris Road, Lenswood, SA

Pomology @ Tarrawood, 471 Swamp Road, Lenswood, SA

Aside from picking apples, apples and products made from apples can be purchased from the orchards. Some venues offer sausage sizzles and coffee so participants don't have to worry about refreshments. The Lenswood Pick Your Own orchard also offers various activities for kids such as scavenger hunts, outdoor games and play equipment.

Participants wishing to partake in the event are advised to wear appropriate footwear and clothing suitable for the weather on the day of the event.
