Piccadilly Restaurant, situated on the ground floor of the Mt. Lofty House, is a little safe haven. What it doesn't have in size, it makes up for in quality. Upon being sat at our table, the staff was immediately attentive to our needs. We were offered drinks and enough time to look through the menu. After ordering, the beautiful view of the hills through the glass windows is enough to fill in any moment of silence.
Our entrée selection, a dip platter to share, was the excellent choice to start off with. Only complaint? Not enough bread. We had plenty of dips to spare by the time the bread was over. Not to worry, it did not go to waste.
Our mains were served shortly after, excellently cooked and ready to be devoured. I had the Barramundi, which was delicious and perfectly flavoured, coupled with coconut rice and a scrumptious sauce. My companion ordered the chicken, so tender you would think it was fish. It came with a delicious spinach puree and a couple of potatoes, which was once again a winning combination.
