If you enjoy spending your weekends searching for unique handmade treasures, then you are sure to find whatever you are looking for at Piccadilly Market in Geelong.
The next market is being held on
Sunday 26th July 2015, with doors open from 9:30-3pm.
Geelong is just over an hour's drive from the Melbourne CBD, or about the same on the VLine train, so it's the perfect destination for a day trip.
The popular Piccadilly Market recently celebrated it's 5th birthday, and it's easy to see why it has such great lasting power. The market is held at the Waterfront Campus of Deakin University, and features over 80 stalls showcasing the crafty wares of locals and beyond.
The market is known for the large range and high quality of stalls available. Whether you are looking for unique jewellery, clothing, accessories, home furnishings, knick-knacks or more, this market will not disappoint. In fact, I dare you to leave empty-handed!
Click here for a full list of confirmed stallholders at the upcoming market.
The market is all indoors, so regardless of the weather, you will stay nice and dry.
Entry is free, and there is plenty of
free parking in the university car park too.
While you are there, why not make a day of it and see what else Geelong has to offer! The Deakin Waterfront Campus is located on the picturesque Corio Bay, with lots of cafes just a short walk away. The building itself is also very beautiful. It was originally built as a wool-store in 1893, and has been given a very modern refurbishment.

Weekend Notes' Geelong page to find some inspiration on what else to do and see while you're in town.
If you can't make it this time, why not mark
Piccadilly's famous Christmas Market in your diary, and head down on
5th and/or 6th December to do some quality Christmas shopping.
Piccadilly also recently made its debut at Malvern Town Hall , in Melbourne's south-east. It will be returning there on
Sunday 20th September, from 10am-4pm, with more opportunities to pick up some crafty creations.
