I like to participate in life rather than be a spectator. Music, dancing, theatre, travelling, food, cycling and walking are some of my passions. Writing is an enjoyable pastime that allows me to share my experiences.
Riverside Theatre Parramatta was one of many venues chosen for Lemony S Puppet Theatre's national tour of Picasso and His Dog. After premiering at Albury-Wodonga in June 2016, Lump and his handlers decided to hit the road between August 19 and October 19 2019. The true story of Pablo Picasso and his extra long sausage dog Lump is one of love, curiosity and creativity.
The show which is suitable for children aged from four to adults is a light-hearted romp into the world of imagination. Relationships between man, animals and art are explored through skilful puppetry and beautiful illusion. Art is made on stage and the audience is invited to open their imaginations and suspend disbelief. You know that Lump is an inanimate puppet but he seems to have a life of his own and a very cheeky demeanour. Picasso is portrayed as a playful eccentric who is constantly creating and searching for the essence of art.
