Zeibekiko, souvlaki and ouzo

Piatsa is very conveniently located on Leopold Strasse in Munich's University belt. It is a mere twenty to thirty minute walk to the pedestrian heart of the city, from Marienplatz to Karlsplatz am Stachus, where Munich's locals and visitors alike congregate for a spot of sightseeing or shopping. Piatsa is also a short walk in the other direction to the English Garden, a nine-hundred acre park akin to New York's Central Park.

The food was very good. My souvlaki was excellent, with a tzatziki dip only the Greek know how to create. Other ordered food items were also quite delish.

Piatsa has outside seating as well as a big area in its basement taverna. If a shot of Ouzo falls short after that heavy lunch or dinner, a walk along Leopold Strasse's animated and animating shops, cafes, bars, restaurants, and gelaterias will surely help.
