The Perth Homeless Support Group (PHSG), will host a Movie Night Fundraiser at the intimate Backlot Studios, on Saturday, May 11, 2019 from 6:00pm. Check out Nicole Kidman in Destroyer, an Arthouse movie (not mainstream at all), from the comfort of your super plush leather seats (akin to Gold Class), within a 50-seat state-of-the-art private cinema.
The proceeds ofDestroyer go directly to the Perth Homeless Support Group, a not-for-profit charity organisation, that seeks to assist those who are homeless on the streets of Perth, Western Australia.
Included in your ticket price, is a bag of super delicious gourmet popcorn. The customary door prize, and the much-anticipated raffle ensure that a PHSG movie event is in a class of its own. The doors and bar are open at 6:00pm, and the movie starts at 6:45pm.
Annie's Woodfired Pizza will be there from 6:00pm, for you to purchase scrumptious pizzas (sales help the homeless) before you settle in to enjoy an enjoyable movie night with friends. Vegetarian to extreme meat lovers are catered for, so if you love pizzas, Annie has you covered.
As a young cop, Erin Bell (Nicole Kidman) goes undercover to infiltrate a gang in the California desert, with tragic results. See Nicole as you have never seen her before, in this atmospheric story of anger, remorse, and consuming guilt. Subsequently, Erin embarks on an obsessive quest for justice and make peace with her tortured past.
When you participate in any of the PHSG's activities and events, you not only support the homeless, but also ensure a unique experience with this caring fun loving group.
By seeing the needs of the homeless and those at risk of being homeless, the Perth Homeless Support Group Inc. adopts a 'hands-on' approach acting in a way that makes a difference to their situation.
Recruiting the next group of champions
The Perth Homeless Support Group Inc. is a grassroots movement which has become one of the key providers of care, support, and friendship to those who are sleeping rough in our city. Consequently, they are currently recruiting the next group of champions to join them in this important work. Each week the PHSG has hundreds of interactions with some of our community's most vulnerable members.
If you want to know more about what PHSG do and how to get involved, then book a place, and come along to their free information night at 28A Munt Street, Bayswater, from 7:00pm to 9:00pm on Friday, May 10, 2019.
