The Perth Homeless Support Group (PHSG), will host another funtastic family afternoon Movie Fundraiser at the intimate Backlot Studios, on Sunday, September 01, 2019 from 3:00pm. This is the ideal movie to celebrate Father's Day. Grab the family and enjoy Lion King in the comfort of your luxury leather seats, within this 50-seat state-of-the-art private cinema.
The proceeds of Lion King go directly to the Perth Homeless Support Group, a not-for-profit charity organisation, to the purchase of food and toiletries for the homeless on the streets of Perth, Western Australia.
Lion King Drama/Adventure
Simba idolises his father, King Mufasa, but not everyone in the kingdom celebrates the new cub's arrival. The battle for Pride Rock is soon ravaged with betrayal, tragedy, and drama, but with help from a curious pair of newfound friends, Simba must figure out how to regain his rightful place.
Activities and events are added regularly, so if the movies is not your scene, then visit the events page and choose your event to help the homeless. A great way to keep in the loop is to join their mailing list and receive the news direct to your inbox.
PHSG volunteers meet every Sunday from 9:30am, at Wellington Square, East Perth, where the homeless can collect Care Packs (food and toiletries), and seasonal items (beanies, socks, blankets). If you would like to donate or contribute items for their Care Packs, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange drop-off and pick up.
What's in a Care Pack?
Find out how you can help PHSG fill their Care Packs. Bottled water is particularly needed, along other food items, toiletries, blankets, sleeping bags and warm clothing items. Care Packs are then created, and anyone is encouraged to collect them and distribute to those in need. In addition, regular group walks are held, handing out items.
