Advance your photography skills
Canon Australia has just released its photography experience events and workshops for summer 2019/20. These experiences are run by Steve Huddy, the Adelaide Ambassador, and cater for both beginner and intermediate photographers. The cost is only $49 per person per experience.
Beginners will have the opportunity to learn techniques on super-telephoto lenses and panning while plane spotting at the Adelaide Airport viewing point on Africaine Road. Two classes will be held on 31 January 2020, teaching you how to work your camera, focus lock, exposure lock, shutter speed, shutter priority setting and ISO.
Beginners will also have the opportunity to discover time-lapse photography and learn how to produce a time-lapse video. This workshop will be held at the northern end of Victoria Square in the city on 15 February 2020 at 2pm.
For the intermediates, there will be an opportunity to shoot panoramics on 13 December 2019 and 14 February 2020 at the Elder Park rotunda on King William Road in the city. You will learn how to shoot and stitch a single row panoramic landscape photograph.
Also for the intermediates, on 1 February 2020, there will be an opportunity for long exposure seascape photography at the Semaphore jetty in Semaphore. You will learn the dos and don'ts of long exposures.
Bookings are essential for all these events and workshops, and can be made via their respective website.
