Although RMIT mainly provide both undergraduate and postgraduate studies, they so also offer short and single courses for the general public. In regards to photography, there are two types of courses that are offered: Single Courses and Short Courses. RMIT Short Courses is really a chance for students to enhance their knowledge and skills; and are commenced throughout the year. A RMIT single course however, is a single subject from an actual current degree program; and runs for duration of a semester.

The club aims at encouraging photography as a hobby and offers a tremendous photography related services to its members, such as a fully equipped dark room and studio, workshops and presentations from leading specialist.
Introduction to Photography Course
This only course offered to the general public is the held usually on Tuesday evenings and Sunday mornings. The course is conducted over 6 weeks by specialist photographers, who provide novice and experienced photographers with new skills through a series of lectures, tutorials and practical sessions.

This course fee includes a six month provisional membership to the Melbourne Camera Club, allowing you to participate in all club activities.
