Part of a small shopping complex in Parafield Gardens, Pho Hung (PHQ: Pho Hung Quan Vietnamese Pan Asian Cuisine) is a good place to enjoy various Vietnamese and Asian dishes. Provided at each table are a range of condiments that can be added to the various dishes you order to enhance their flavours. Service was good, with the staff offering to refill our table water without being asked.

With Clay Pot Rice being one of our favourite dishes, we could not resist ordering their Chicken with Mix Mushroom & Fried Egg Rice. To enjoy the dish, stir everything thoroughly to mix the chicken, mushrooms and sauce into the rice. The dish was piping hot with tender chicken nicely complemented by the selection of mushrooms. It also had a good layer of 'crust' at the base of the pot that we expected from clay pot rice. The sauce helped bring out the flavour of the ingredients.

A good choice for vegetarians, their Vegetarian Mushroom, Veg & Fried Egg Rice also came out piping hot with the vegetables having the right amount of bite to them. Compared to the Chicken with Mix Mushroom & Fried Egg Rice, the taste of the dish was a bit more subtle and while it did not have as much crust as that dish, it was still enough to make eating it enjoyable.

One of the various dishes noted to be a Chef's Special, the beef in the Sizzling Honey Pepper Fillet Steak was cooked to the correct doneness with the honey pepper sauce giving the dish a delectable peppery taste with a hint of sweetness. A few slices of spring onion helped to give the dish a bit more texture.

Ambience of the restaurant is similar to that of a café with the tables spaced a good distance apart from each other. Plenty of parking spaces are available in the carpark that is part of the complex where the restaurant is located.
