The national park in Cambodia, which is commonly referred to as Kulen Mountain, is where one can be blessed by monks and swim under waterfalls.

The bus ride from our hotel in central Siem Reap to Kulen Mountain was about an hour and a half long. Though, you will want to remain on the bus whilst in the park because it is quite some distance between attractions.

Our first stop was to be blessed by a monk.

After the blessing, they tie a read weave bracelet around your wrist that will bring you good luck. These bracelets are supposed to be worn until they break; if taken off any sooner it is said to bring bad luck. The temple and worship sites, where the monks are located, are just stunning. After viewing these, we headed off to the waterfall.

Although you can swim at the waterfall, it is a sacred site for the Cambodian people, meaning females should cover their arms and legs appropriately. The entry to the waterfall is a walk across the uppermost body of water.

It is then a quick journey along a dirt path before you arrive at the last body of water where you can swim.

The waterfall may actually look familiar as it is the location of Angelina Jolie's famous dive scene in Tomb Raider. The waterfall is stunning and a visit to Kulen mountain is an overall momentous experience.
