On Sunday 20th October 2019, the School of Practical Philosophy WA is proudly hosting the Philosophy Expo 2019 - a one-day event which will consist of a series of public lectures and workshops hosted by inspirational guest speakers.

This expo, which will be held at Technology Park Function Centre, 2 Brodie-Hall Drive, Bentley, presents ancient wisdom and knowledge from a range of traditions and looks at how we can adapt these principles into our everyday lives.

Special guest speakers include Associate Professor Craig Hassed, a Senior Lecturer at the Department of General Practice at Monash University, Melbourne, and was this year awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for services to Medicine; Dr Clive Lamond, a business coach for the United Veterinary Group; Mr Stewart Morritt, a fully trained professional actor; Mr William Fox Chairman of the International Centre for Platonic Studies; Transpersonal Art Therapist Iris Whitelock; and Dianne Kruger, Head of Sanskrit at The School of Philosophy in Perth, to name a few.

The event day will be divided into four sessions and there will be 19 public lectures and workshops to choose from; visitors are invited to attend up to four presentations on the day.

To participate in Philosophy Expo 2019 registration is essential. To make a booking visit the School of Practical Philosophy WA website and select your preference and proceed to the payment options.

The registration fee is $130.00 per person and is all-inclusive; lunch and morning and afternoon tea will be served to all participants and all required study materials will be supplied as well.

Philosophy Expo is a unique opportunity to meet with like-minded people and enjoy a day of nourishment for body, mind and soul.

Notes:

  • Workshops run for 75 minutes each.

  • No prior knowledge or experience is required. Presenters are students or friends of the School of Philosophy with a love of their subject.
