Baltimore is famous for crab-cakes, where everyone claims to have the best. I tried seven places, and of two decidedly winning recipes, Phillips has one. The other is Faidley Seafood - see my review. Hand made with a blend of mixed herbs, the hand-picked Hopper's Island crab cake is not for those who love the natural subtle and sweet flavour of crab. Served as a sandwich (I opted for sans burger bun), with lettuce, tomato, and a healthy portion of chips. The USD20 for 4oz price tag, comes with atmosphere, waterfront dining, and live lunch-appropriate music.
