Even on non-race days, the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit is home to plenty of motor sport action. Family Go Karting, Breathtaking Hot Laps beside an experienced racing car driver, Slot Cars , Race Car Simulators, Circuit Shop, Licensed Café, Guided Circuit Tour and an Historic Display of Motor sport .

Family Go Karting – What better location with stunning blue water views behind? A scale replica of the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, drivers can take to the 750 metre track in one of the French made, state of the art Sodi R8 Go Karts for sheer, unadulterated fun.


Seats and pedals are adjustable for custom fit and comfort.

Safety measures such as structural rolls bars, seat belts, improved braking system and all round protection to avoid wheel-to-wheel collision have been installed. All karts have been crash tested to ensure compliance with Australian standards.

NOTE: Drivers must be at least 12 years old and 140cm tall. However, to ensure this is an all-family adventure tandem Go Karts are available. Younger kids can sit beside an adult 18 plus and enjoy the thrill of the ride.

All drivers must be wearing enclosed shoes, appropriate clothing and have a zero blood alcohol level.



Passengers must be at least 5 years old and 153cm tall.

The Go Kart track operates year round, excluding MotoGP and Superbike World Championship days.



Public Pricing – Multiple sessions applicable to single Kart.
1 x 10 minutes - $35
2 x 10 minutes - $60
3 x 10 minutes - $80


The facility offers a Rewards Program. Be sure to check with staff when booking as well as Group Go Kart packages tailored to individual needs.

Hot Laps – Can you handle the speed? Buckle up for "three adrenalin-pumping hot laps around the world renowned and iconic Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit with an experienced racing driver."

Booking dates for January 2015, include Fri 9th, Sat 10th, Sun 11th, Fri 16th, Sat 17th, Sun 18th & Mon 26th at 5pm.

Passengers are strapped into a five-point harness and challenged to experience true racing on the world renowned Phillip Island Grand Prix track.

GP Slot Car Track – The Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit is home to one of the largest 4-lane GP slot car tracks. Fun for all ages.

10 minute sessions $8 or $5 with any Go Karting session.

Race Car Simulators – Challenge a friend to a race or simply test your own skills in one of these state of the art race car simulators. Be warned, it's not as easy as it looks, racing down Gardner Straight, sliding round ultra-fast Doohan Corner and threading through Siberia.

5 minute session $10
10 minute session $15 or $10 with any Go Karting session.

Guided Circuit Tour – Go off-track and see exclusive, usually unobtainable areas around the Phillip Island Grand Prix circuit including the Control Tower and 'Race Control'. See racing vision on the CCTV system before visiting the Media Centre, Pit Lane and Pit Roof.

Tours run daily at 2pm subject to circuit hire and major events and take approximately 1 hour.

Push Bike Ride Days – Back for Summer! Take your bike and ride the tracks. Dates include Tues 13th January 10am to noon, and Thurs 15th January 2015, 6pm to 8pm.

Arrive at the Circuit Visitor Centre 30 minutes prior to purchase tickets.

There is plenty of merchandise available in the gift shop adjacent to the fully licensed Champions Café, which offers quality hot and cold meals and beverages with indoor and outdoor seating options.



Phillip Island is located 90 minutes South East of Melbourne along the M1 Freeway then the M420 South Gippsland Highway, followed by an easy run along the A420 Bass Highway to the Phillip Island turn off.

The Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit is located on the Back Beach Road, Phillip Island.

What to do Afterward?
Head to Main Street, Cowes. Stroll the town, grab an ice cream or bite to eat, do a spot of shopping, walk to the end of the pier and back along the beach, or simply sit on the grassy knoll and enjoy the holiday ambience.

Whatever you do, don't leave the Island without catching the Penguin Parade at Sunset. While you're there, please consider adopting a penguin to help raise funds for continued rescue, rehabilitation and environmental protection for these charming little animals. There is plenty to see and do around Phillip Island year round, with pristine beaches and carnival through summer and plenty of accommodation both on the island and just across the bridge for a true city getaway.
