Water Fun with Playground and Bike Track
If you are looking for somewhere to cool down this summer, then why not head to the brand new Philip Ruddock Water Playground. The water playground, which was officially opened in late November 2015, is located in Yates Avenue, Dundas Valley.

The playground is very popular with locals and you can see why. Whilst the play area is not huge, there is a good selection of water equipment for kids of all ages.

Additionally the area is covered by two shade cloths which provide great protection for the kids while they play. There are seating areas around the water playground for mums and dads to relax on, while still keeping an eye on the kids!

There is also a great new cubby house and climbing frame, swings, a big boulder to climb and some cute gumnut seats. The kids loved rotating between the play equipment and the water area and it was handy having the two areas so close together.

The area has been nicely landscaped with sandstone and new plants and trees. There is a path that loops around the playground and also the wider park - perfect for bikes and scooters.

You can also make use of the free barbecues and picnic tables.

The new playground is part Dundas Park which is a is a large park of approximately 6.5 hectares - so why not also enjoy the other facilities including an oval, cricket pitches/nets and netball courts.

There are toilet facilities available although they are a short walk away. Also a short walk away are a set of local shops from which you can get some lunch or why not drop into the Dundas Valley Vikings Club for lunch, which is just across the road (on Quarry Road).

September to May the playground is open 9.00am - 8.00pm. June to August the water playground is closed.
