Exploring the role of preparatory sketches made during the planning of an artwork, Phase is an exhibition that documents the ways in which an artist plans, prepares and produces art.
Held in Kurb Gallery , the week-long exhibition will showcase work by artists in the form of drawings, paintings and 3D objects, all of which will provide insight into how art is made, and how an artist thinks creatively about materials, methods and the progression of an idea. Kurb Gallery is renowned for its unique, raw appearance and experimental "anything goes" attitude to exhibitions, housed in a cosy and unassuming space.
Featured artists include Zoe Chong-Seng, Di Cubitt, Tanisha Burtnyk, Fiona Harman and Jessica Wilkes. Join them on Sunday the 6th of July from 3pm, for the official opening at 312A William St, Northbridge.
