A beautiful place to stop and smell the roses

Pevensey Park is located in Geelong, just a short distance from Eastern Park.

The park is divided into two areas, with Malop Street running through the middle. The Ron Robertson Rose Garden is located on the southern side of the park, and on the northern side, there is a large grass area with a playground.

The Southern Side of the Park - Ron Robertson Rose Garden
The Ron Robertson Rose Garden is a beautiful place to sit and relax, and admire the gardens. There are seats throughout the park and plenty of grass areas to put down a picnic blanket and have some lunch.

The roses had been pruned when I visited and took these photos, but if you visit when the roses are in bloom, the garden beds are a spectacular sight

The Northern Side of Pevensey Park
Just across the road, is the 'Northern' area of Pevensey Park, which boasts a large grass area and a playground.

The playground is perfect for younger children and has a swingset with standard swing and toddler swing, a slide, and bouncer.

Sometimes kids need parks like this just so they can run free and wild on the expansive lawns. We are lucky to have so many good parks in our urban areas.
