Being a basic b*tch is so 2018! 2019 is the year where we step up our game and embrace the beauty and the power that comes with being a petty b*tch!

Boo Dwyer and Tash York have cleverly crafted a show around all the little, nit-picky things that drive us insane and end up bringing out our inner pettiness in the best manner possible. We (the audience) were given an exclusive access into the insider trading of the workings around being a petty b*tch, under the guidance of our mentors - Dwyer and York - who were, themselves, mentored by the one and only Katy Petty (get it?).

Covering topics of pettiness across different mediums, we were treated to some excellent examples of how one can achieve the status of being the pettiest of bitches in the work place, in a share house, in your travels, and just generally; in life! By combining catchy songs with lyrics that are so powerful in igniting your inner pettiness to its prime, audience members didn't take long to chime in, cheer heartily, and clap in unison, as the gorgeous duo of petty b*tches before us serenaded us with their comedic talents brought together with their harmonious voices to fill the room with a sense of recognizing your maximum potential of unleashing your most desirable forms of pettiness in a thoroughly informative yet lighthearted manner.

Taking away quality knowledge from this fun 'conference' - such as learning the difference between being petty and being mean, perfecting your stance with classifying yourself as a (and read this in a whispering tone) 'petty b*tch', and also discovering how the annoying song "Baby Shark" can, indeed, be made 100% worse (for the better, of course!) with a very non-PG version that will almost instantly make you consider changing your ringtone for your boss / your housemate / literally anyone who grinds your gears the absolute fullest.

Dwyer and York have an electric energy that helps them bounce off each other's sassy auras and gives the show a smooth sailing vibe. Everything that we imagined to be horrible traits of ourselves at the worst of times are flipped around in this hilarious hour-long 'conference', where we transition from being petty beginners to petty extraordinaires, by going through the B.I.T.C.H. program. Covering some of the biggest hits and adding a signature Dwyer and York charm to it, the audiences enjoyed savagely delightful versions of "Toxic" by Britney Spears and "9 to 5" by Dolly Parton, and ended the show in a way that we would have never picked - a '90s song medley that may have not really had a place with the concept of the show, except it's never a bad idea to celebrate a life-changing piece of history that helped our generation appreciate music in a new light! It was a fantastic twist to ring in what was the perfect start to a crazy Saturday night with the duo at the Fringe! Everything from Vanilla Ice to Spice Girls to Backstreet Boys was given a brilliant makeover by the powerhouse of singers that Dwyer and York proved themselves to be.

This cult...I mean conference... is one that will undoubtedly become a popular and regular go-to event every year, so while we wait in anticipation for their return to the Adelaide Fringe for more pettiness training from the best in the business, we can be rest assured that we will be executing our training into practice by being the pettiest b*tches we could be, no matter what life throws at us!
