'Pets' exhibition, which officially opens at The Centre Beaudesert on Saturday November 2, will be the cat's whiskers.
The Centre in Beaudesert is celebrating all creatures great and small. They are putting on a photographic exhibition where the focus is on the feathered, finned and furry friends which share your lives - your pets.
Through personal and family photographs, selfies and small artworks, 'Pets' the exhibition captures the joys, antics and bond shared by people and their loyal companions.
We know what we normally think of as pets, but there are as many pets out there as there are humans and we know we are very different creatures.

Residents of the Scenic Rim were invited to participate. Everyone may have a different pet or animal which they hold in some affection. You may be surprised by some of the exhibits and moved by others. In any event, it will be a pleasureable and lovely event to share with all the family.
There was one rule that the participants had to adhere to and that was to choose three words that expressed this relationship. Be it a name, a description, a term of endearment.
Children from the Goodstart Early Leaning Centre in Beaudesert, whose impressions of their favourite pets are outstanding will all be exhibiting.
The Centre gallery will display a large number of animals. Some are common and well known, others less so. So dont be surprised if you see rats, camels, crustaceans, birds, dogs, cats, horses, frogs and even snakes.
Everyone is invited to the official opening of the exhibition by Councillor Nadia O'Carroll, which includes a family fun day on Saturday 2 November at 1pm, and to meet the artists and contributors and enjoy the free children's activities.
RSVPs are essential as light refreshments will be provided. Phone 5540 5050 or email firstname.lastname@example.org and remember that pets are not on the invitation list.
