Renowned celebrity chef Datuk Dr Redzuawan bin Ismail, better known as Chef Wan, has spent years travelling around the world tasting food from different cultures. Inspired by these gastronomic adventures, he was led to share his journey with others through the opening of Cafe Chef Wan and its 'petit' outlets.



Petit Cafe Chef Wan at Bangsar Shopping Centre and Kuala Lumpur International Airport offers a range of international fare including a spicy Korean tuna croissant, pulled Australian beef brisket pita, cakes, pastries and more. For those wanting to satisfy their local food cravings, favourites such as nasi bukhhari lamb kerutup, mee rebus, laksa Johor, etc are available too.



I fall into this latter group, and could not wait to indulge in their delectable laksa Johor. Served with spaghetti, the fish sauce had sufficient spices and was very flavourful. The condiments included long beans, bean sprouts, kesum leaves, calamansi lime and sambal belacan. I will surely be back to try other dishes on my next trip.
