Is the thermometer, an alien or an ant?
Pete's Bargain Centre is not big, it is huge. You will be welcomed by a lovely young lady declaring the centre open.

Pete's is open.

Enter the store and you will find a very large area housing a variety store of all sorts. From general household goods and wares to nuts and bolts. Pete's often has liquidated stock in brand new condition but without the brand new price tag.

The front counter is in there somewhere.

I was overwhelmed by the depth of the centre and the depth of items on sale, with items almost as far as the eye can see.

You name and it's probably there somewhere.

A range of clothing is offered, as is footwear.

If a can of spray paint is your want, you will find normal colours and even engine enamel.

One for every purpose.

Hardware items take up several rows of the display, and a range of power tools was noticed.

The hard-working staff were scattered around the store, silently helping you find your way around.

Your patriotism can be satisfied with large Australian flags ready to adorn your flagpole.

Pets are not forgotten as a large range of doggie products such as studded collars and leads to take your canine friend for a walk. For longer journeys pet carriers are available.

Lead or carry your doggie.

In the gardening section, I liked the pot pal figures and butterflies which can add colour to your garden when your flowers aren't flowering.

In the cute section, a number of dolls and figurines were awaiting adoption. Religious figurines were waiting for the faithful.

How cute are these?

For the true believers.

Throughout the store, every nook and cranny was filled with knick-knacks.

Clocks and other things.

You will find unusual gifts hiding amongst all the other merchandise. I particularly liked the alien thermometers, or were they ants?

Pete's Bargain Centre has been on Maroondah Highway Chirnside Park for 17 years. Before that, they were located in Bayswater and Ringwood.

She's worth another look.

I could list the range of products on sale, but a shorter list would be what they don't have.

Open Monday to Saturday 9:30am-5:00pm (Closed Sunday)- Pete's Bargain Centre is an eclectic mix of new and used general household wares. Enter via the Storage King driveway next to Bunnings and Chirnside Park Homemaker Centre. Look for the large Pete's Bargain sign on Maroondah Highway.
