You don't have to be a sailor to enjoy the spectacle and pageantry of the out of Blairgowrie this December. Chill out beachside after the frenzy of Christmas and enjoy the colours of the sails and the thrill of the competition as they set off across the water.

The 's growing popularity sees it set to become the annual flagship event of the Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron. It already attracts competitive keel and cruising boats not only from around the Peninsula, but Australia wide. Along with them come associated families and friends eager to cheer the boats on and enjoy the onshore entertainment and festivities, which are held both during the day and into the evening, too with presentations, dinner and more.



Everyone is welcome to come enjoy this colourful event, which strives to re-create the atmosphere experienced during the original regatta held back in the 1980's.

This year, the Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron is proudly displaying their newly built marina as it plays host to the Regatta from Tuesday 27th December to Friday 30th December 2016.

The warm up Family Race will be started at 3pm on the Tuesday afternoon followed by the official opening celebration. Then over the course of the next three days daily racing will be followed by an evening filled with entertainment.

There are plenty of spots along the beach to sit and watch the sails. Bring the whole family and just relax and watch.
