Remember those Sunday afternoons spent sitting in the sunshine with a few drinks, listening to bands or hanging with friends? Remember how nice it was to relax late into the weekend, before Monday reared it's ugly head? Can you remember why you stopped doing it, if it was so much fun? One word. Children. What if I told you that is was possible to reclaim those sunny afternoon celebrations of yore and BRING THE KIDS?



Head over to and while away the afternoon with a game of barefoot bowls, or just enjoy the live music or chill while the DJ spins some soul. Get some friends together and stay for dinner - grab some pizzas or snack on some dumplings. Don't forget the Serendipity ice cream for dessert.



They've plenty of designer beers and ales as well as the standard fare, so while the outside is a little old (it's been around since 1896), it's got the inner-city sophistication where it counts. It prides itself on being a craft beer venue, and also pokie-free.



If the Sunday afternoons don't suit you, look at their calendar and check out if the poetry jam, Swing Dance lessons or Zumba might be more of interest. There's plenty of live music too.



So don't let the kids be a handbrake on your lifestyle - sometimes the family entertainment can be aimed at the adults, and you'd be surprised how much the kids enjoy it too.
