Everyone who is an unpaid carer knows the weight of responsibility on their shoulders. They are the silent heroes who often take the pressure off an already stretched health care system when caring for someone with cancer. PeterMac ( Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre) are running weekly sessions ofCarer's Circle and welcomes cancer carers from other hospitals to come along and share your stories and experiences and meet other heroes, so Let's Chat. You might even learn some new ways of caring for yourself.
The Community Career Support event is also for those caring for someone with cancer. It's a joint webinar with Carers Victoria's Tania Daniels - Carer & Community Educator. Sessions are designed to be interactive and you're encouraged to ask or bring along your questions. Do register for this event and find further details for both events via the links. You'll find out about programs and services run by Carers Victoria; an online platform for carers via Carers Gateway; how carers support services are rolled out in Victoria; why it's important for carers to take care of themselves, how they contribute to our communities and who are these hidden heroes!
