Those of us who own dogs generally hate leaving them and having to board them in a kennel. Or perhaps your dog gives you that droopy eye look of disgust as you drive into his new holiday boarding kennel while trying to be jovial and telling a non-understanding dog that he will have a "great" time!
Well, to avoid this look of "YOU TRAITOR", and so as not to be separated from the family, here are some choices as to where you can take your best friend when you go either to a caravan park or camping.

Many places take dogs "at the manager's discretion" which simply gives them an "out" for my type of dogs (not dog-friendly, or obedient!). Dogs must be registered and have a current vaccination certificate and many of these places also require a bond for the dog, so check before going - I have provided websites where possible.
BIG4 BEACHLANDS - BUSSELTON
Love your coffee? If you answered yes, then when you check-in you will receive a barista-made coffee straight to your door each morning.
It is located in the beautiful Margaret River Wine Region and central to the many attractions of the south west of Western Australia and is only 3.5 km from the iconic Busselton jetty and town centre. They have a variety of accommodation sites and these have concrete slabs, tree/shaded sites; power outlets, TV and Internet wireless and TV aerial/connection.

MANDALAY HOLIDAY RESORT AND TOURIST PARK - BUSSELTONHere they have a number of awesome pools, water-slides, adventure playgrounds, jumping pillows and a gorgeous white sand beach, making this a popular destination for families.
The park is surrounded by 28 acres of parklands for your dog to explore, however, pets are only allowed from May to November and not during the school holiday period.

DISCOVERY PARKS BIG4 - PERTH FOOTHILLS
Nestled in the Perth foothills and within the heart of the famous Swan Valley wine region, this is also close to the airport, major motorhome and car hire depots.

BANKSIA TOURIST PARK - HAZELMEREThis is situated near the Swan Valley and handy to everywhere in Perth.
The caravan and camping sites are within easy reach of the BBQ area, children's playground and ablution blocks and they have a variety of grassed sites and concrete slabs. The local beach is also pet-friendly.

PILBARA KARRATHA CARAVAN PARK - KARRATHA
When you travel up North of WA, here is a place you can take Fido along also - however, beware that most National Parks do not allow dogs, so keep this in mind before travelling.
They have on-site cabins, caravans, and tent area, and the following features; activity room, TV room, games room, BBQ, camp kitchen, kiosk/store, laundry, playground, swimming pool and WiFi.

ALBANY GARDENS HOLIDAY RESORT - ALBANY
Obviously situated down south in Albany which is a popular tourist destination.
This dog-friendly caravan park has brand new laundry facilities, renovated ablutions and a large outdoor BBQ area with a free to use BBQ and pizza oven, as well as a fully equipped camp kitchen. There is also a pool, tennis court, recreation room and playground.

RAC CERVANTES HOLIDAY PARK - CERVANTES
These people accept dogs and there is a $50 bond for them, as well as having to leave an imprint of your credit card - there are strictly no dogs in or around the cabins, pool areas or public amenities – dogs are allowed on powered sites and camping sites only in designated area.
RAC Cervantes Holiday Park has a comprehensive range of facilities and amenities which include an onsite shop. They are a beachfront property with their own beachfront Seashells Café.

RAC EXMOUTH CAPE HOLIDAY PARK - EXMOUTH
This holiday park is situated at the gateway to the Ningaloo Reef. It has a tour desk and store and the activities include fishing, snorkelling, bicycle rental, playground, pedal cars, BBQ, pool, laundry, and free wireless internet hotspot in public areas.
Conditions for dogs are the same as the Cervantes Holiday Park (above).

RAC MONKEY MIA DOLPHIN RESORT - SHARK BAY
This resort is situated midway up the West Australian coastline within the Shark Bay World Heritage Area, home to one of the world's best-known dolphin encounters. This area is truly unique in unspoiled surrounds. With beachfront accommodation situated on the pristine shores of Shark Bay, this is a spot not to be missed, but there ARE strict conditions of where you can take your dogs.

BIG VALLEY CAMPSITE - MARGARET RIVER
This campsite is actually a working farm, and great fun! The sites all have power and water, large motorhomes and big rigs sites, camp kitchen, gas BBQ, fridges; kettle and toaster; camp fire, 3 TV Channels, dump point, wheel chair/disabled facilities and laundry. Pets all year round including public holidays and school holidays, and all dogs must be kept on a lead.

CAVES CARAVAN PARK, YALLINGUP
This park offers a range of accommodation for caravanning and/or camping sites some with a private toilet and shower.
The park has abundant trees providing shelter from the heat of the day and they have the following facilities: babysitting, near Main Beach, caravan dump point, recreation room, laundromat, fish cleaning facilities, TV room and campers kitchen. However, note that Wi-Fi is no longer available at the park.
