Restaurants that offer share-plate menus are the latest dining format to hit Perth. Traditional dining is changing, people like to eat out, wanting quality food fast, but they also like to share dishes with family and friends.

Share-plate dining encourages a friendly, relaxed atmosphere and makes for a more sociable occasion. There are many restaurants that now offer shared-plate dining options, but where are the best in Perth?

The menu at Barque in East Fremantle is designed to share. They cater for large or small groups and you can enjoy lunch or dinner served indoors or in an alfresco setting.

The Duende in Leederville serves breakfast/brunch until 4pm, but their famous Tapas style menu starts at noon and the meals are specially designed for sharing.

Little Creatures Brewery in Fremantle was the first restaurant in Perth to offer share-plate options. Their menu offers a large variety of dishes to share including pizza, 'Little Share' and 'Big Share' dishes.

The Purl Bar and Restaurant in Subiaco has an extensive menu of meals that also includes a range of share-plate dishes.

The Apple Daily Bar and Eating House in Perth serves a south-east Asian street style food that is just perfect for sharing. The menu has been specially created with plate-sharing in mind.

The popular Rosie O'Grady's Restaurants in Fremantle and Northbridge have quite a large menu offering many shared-plate options.

At Habitue in North Fremantle all the dishes are designed to be shared and the portions are large enough to satisfy any appetite.

Lamont's in the Swan Valley is a lovely place to go for
Share plates. They have indoor and outdoor seating and you can do some wine tasting before your meal.
