Experience the magic of Christmas in the city
The City of Perth will once again come alive with the magic of Christmas to amaze and delight people of all ages. A wide range of old festive favourites, plus some new events and activities will be held in the city area between Friday 17th November, 2017 and Sunday 7th January, 2018.
Proudly brought to you by the City of Perth, the City at Christmas festival features an assortment of concerts, carnivals, markets, movies, activities, entertainment and much more. Kicking off with the brand new Launch of the Christmas Lights Trail, other events include the RAC Christmas Pageant, Carols by Candlelight, the Christmas Nativity, Twilight Hawkers Market, Perth Home Grown, Christmas Markets, Perth City Christmas Carnival, Christmas Projections, Festive Flicks, and WASO Symphony in the City, to name but a few.
The annual IGA Carols by Candlelight concert will be held in Langley Park on Sunday 17th December, 2017. Come along and join in the festive singing, plus there will be some pre-show entertainment and kids activities before the main event begins.
Enjoy all the colour and spectacle of the annual RAC Christmas Pageant, on Saturday 2nd December, 2017, starting at 7.30pm. The parade has all the usual favourite floats and characters including bands, clowns, dancers, TV personalities, Fat Cat, and of course Santa and his reindeer.
The Christmas Nativity has moved to a brand new location this year. Bring along a picnic and a rug and share in the story of Christmas at the Supreme Court Gardens on Wednesday 20th, Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd December, 2017.
A series of Christmas themed movies will be screened at the Northbridge Piazza, in the lead up to Christmas.
These free movies will be shown every Saturday between the 18th November and the 30th December, 2017.
These are just some of the fantastic events scheduled for the City at Christmas 2017 festival and there are loads more. So bring the family into the city for some festive fun, there really is something for everyone to enjoy this Christmas.
