Art can make you think, feel and be inspired to make your own. Who knows what you might feel when you see the street art on the
Perth Street Art and Sculpture Tour! You can get on the streets, pounding the pavement and discovering some beautiful and incredibly created artworks all over the streets.
The art scene in Perth is bigger than ever before, with art being more accessible too. The streets come to life, with the addition of some beautiful artwork on the walls of the iconic buildings around the area of Yagan Square. Dotted throughout the laneways, streets and other public spaces, you will learn more about the artists and why they chose to paint what they did.
Most of the sculptures, paintings and other artworks are created by Aboriginals, locals and residents of WA. There will also be some pieces that have been created by international artists. Each piece has a story and they are all created using different techniques.
When you're on this tour, you will be walking 3km through Yagan Square, King's Square and China Town. This tour takes approximately 2 hours and is open to everyone who wants to learn more about Perth's unique art scene. However, it is mainly aimed at people aged over 12, as smaller children may struggle to focus for so long, and may not be willing to walk through the streets. Head to Yagan Square, on Sunday 2nd of April, at 10am for a tour that makes you look around your city and learn more about very talented local artists. Tickets are $53.50, and that is the adult's price. There is no cheaper ticket for kids. Enjoy the art, and be inspired to make your own!
