The stunning Perth Hills are the place to be this October as the Perth Spring Hills Festival gets underway for a huge month of activities.

Now in its third year, the Perth Spring Hills Festival will run from Sunday, 1 October to Sunday, 29 October and will celebrate all the Perth Hills have to offer during a large number of events and activities for all ages. Events will be held at various locations including Kalamunda, Lesmurdie and Bickley and include lots of free things to see and do.



Each week, there will be a range of things to see and do in a jam-packed itinerary of events that include art and craft exhibitions, guided-nature walks, winery tours, evening markets, movie nights, bike rides and so much more.

It truly is a festival for all – the kids will love the ever-popular annual Fairies Picnic, while art lovers will revel in the many exhibitions, photographic workshops and popular Open Studios event, in which Kalamunda's rich vein of artists will open their studios to the public.

If you're a foodie, there's the Hainault Vineyard Asparagus Lunch, the Masonmill Beer Festival, Carmel Cider Festival, October Feast at the Core Cider House and Kalamunda Night Market to explore.



Below is a snapshot of what is happening each week:
Week one: Tuesday, 1 October to Friday, 6 October – Photography workshops, Full Moon Hike, Free Entry to the Kalamunda History Village
Week two: Saturday, 7 October to Friday, 13 October – Kalamunda Artisan Markets, Bibbulmun Blossoms Walk and free activities for children
Week three: Saturday, 14 October to Friday, 20 October – Gooseberry Hill Art and Craft Exhibition, Our Studio in the Hills Craft Sale, Blossom and Cider Festival and Mountain Bike Skills Course
Week four: Saturday, 21 October to Friday, 27 October – Kalamunda Night Market, Free Outdoor Movies in the Park, Great Aussie Backyard Bird Count and the Kalamunda Spring Flower Show
Week five: Saturday, 28 Oct and Sunday, 29 Oct – Beer Festival, Fairies Picnic, Free entry to the Kalamunda History Village
Various dates: Kanyana Wildlife Tours, Perth Observatory Tours
