A festival dedicated to the wonder of science
There's a festival for everything these days – beer, wine, pork, crabs….even science!
This year's National Science Week will get underway with a bang at the 2017 Perth Science Festival on Saturday, 12th and Sunday, 13th August.
Come and celebrate all things scientific at this free, family friendly and interactive event at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, Mounts Bay Road. Forget those boring, high school science lessons – with over 40 stalls, explosive experiments and science shows, plus native animals, science has never been more exciting!
Visitors can experience Scitech's Future Earth themed marquee – explore future housing, future food and future lifestyles. Sample some exotic future food, or unleash your inner creativity at the giant colouring wall, and learn how the humble algae could be a fuel for our future!
National Science Week is Australia's biggest celebration of science and technology, with heaps of events and talks taking place across the nation and online from Saturday, 12th to Sunday, 20th August – anyone at any age can take part, making it also one of the most accessible festivals around.
